Your Smile registration is a two-part process, the first is online, the second involves a face-to-face interview with one of our lovely consultants. You’ll need to have your documents handy for both (more on what you bring here) and have to complete both stages in order for us to be able to offer you roles within schools. Here is a little more info about what you can expect at each stage.
After an initial chat with one of our team, we will then send you an email from our compliance partners, People Compliance. This portion of the registration process is online and can be completed using a smartphone, laptop or tablet. The system itself is pretty straightforward and instructions will appear on the screen to tell you what to do. It typically takes around 20 minutes to complete. Before you start, be sure that you have all of the relevant documents you need to complete this - everything you’ll need is listed here - as without them you won’t be able to complete the process. We ask that you have completed this stage of the registration before coming in to meet us so we can focus on getting to know you and not completing stage 1!
This is where we get to know more about you! The date, time and location of this meeting will be confirmed via email after a phone call with one of our team. Typically, your registration interview is held at either our Birmingham (find directions here) or Cannock office (find directions here), however, we also conduct registrations in other locations across the West Midlands and Staffordshire too.
All you need to bring to the interview is yourself and the documents you submitted during the online stage of the process. You’ll meet with one of our admin team, followed one of our consultants or candidate care team. They’ll check and verify these documents during the first portion of the interview as well as go over the mandatory paperwork for compliance purposes. Providing you have all of your documents with you, this section should only take around 15 minutes.
The rest of the interview (around 45 minutes) will be spent getting to know you. Our aim is to find out about your experience, what type of role you are looking for and school you want to in, how far you want to travel, etc. This helps us to build you a profile which will ultimately make you stand out to schools. We’ll also chat with you about any roles that we are working on right now that we think you might be suitable for and take the time to answer any questions you might have. And then that’s it, you are free to go and enjoy the rest of your day!
