What is APSCo Compliance+?

APSCo Compliance+ is a membership body dedicated to making sure there is excellence in the recruitment industry. With offices all around the world, it provides members with the information and support required to become compliant and successful. 

As you can see by our 99.5% score we go above and beyond to better safeguard children and vulnerable adults. Each year we are audited by APSCo to make sure we are upholding the standard set. The audit involves file and policy checks and interviews with our team. 

What the APSCo auditors said

“There was clear evidence throughout this audit that Smile has a continuing commitment to safeguarding. This is clearly evidenced on the company website and through interviews with the Director, Compliance Manager, and staff. All staff have received safeguarding and safer recruitment training.

All staff spoken to were clear about the importance of compliance and ensuring that candidates were not only safe to work in schools but the right person for the job”

What this means for our teachers and schools

Teachers - our registration process is designed to not only protect the students you will work with but also protect you. During your registration process, you will be asked to provide at least two references and provide details of your employment history and education. In addition, you will also be asked to provide a DBS (if you don’t have one, we can put one in process for you). 

Schools - when choosing us as your recruitment partner you can be sure that we are providing your school with the best teachers, TA staff that have done rigorous safeguarding and compliance checks to make sure they are suitable to work with your students in your school.
