We are a supply teaching agency with a difference. We know that every teacher and school is different so we don’t just place our teachers in any old school, we find our teachers a school that suits not only their abilities but their personalities too. We work alongside a variety of primary, secondary and SEN schools in the Midlands as well as further afield and are confident that there is a school out there for everyone.
Recruitment is far from boring, just ask us - if anyone knows how to make recruitment fun, we do! We are a driven and fun-loving teaching agency, who put its people first. Usually, you’ll find us out and about meeting with schools (albiet virtually these days) or hard at work from home or the office. But when we aren’t doing that, you’ll find us raising money for charity by baking or climbing a hill, enjoying one of the very many great bars Birmingham has to offer or even partaking in a fun lunchtime quiz.
We are proud to be an APSCo Compliance+ accredited education recruitment agency. Compliance+ is a thorough best practice quality standard for education and social work recruitment businesses which goes beyond the statutory safeguarding standards. To ensure that we uphold these practices, we are audited every year and are pleased to have achieved 100% in our 2020 APSCo Compliance+ audit. Safeguarding is our number one priority and we would never place anyone into a classroom or school that we wouldn’t want teaching our own children. You can find out more about our registration process and what it entails here.
For us, it’s about more than just recruitment. We see ourselves as an extension of, not only the schools that we work with, but the communities that we work within. Whether that involves supporting at university careers fair, school sports day or local fundraiser, you can count on us to be there to support you in whatever way we can. We also host our own events for both mainstream and SEN schools including our Smile Soccer Stars tournament which takes place termly and are respectively supported by The Aston Villa Foundation and Albion Foundation. During the pandemic we've also hosted COVID Q&A sessions to help our teaching staff get a better understanding and provided support for NQTs with an NQT Q&A session too.
Our team also fair share for charity and have run, hiked, baked and gotten Pretty Muddy doing so. Over the years we raised money for the likes of Smile for Joel, Alzheimer's Research UK and the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Our charity of the year, this year, as nominated by our teaching and support staff is Acorns Children’s Hospice.
