Safeguarding is an important process that protects children from harm, abuse, and neglect. As an agency, we have set up and follow good safeguarding policies and procedures that means children are safe from adults and other children who might pose a risk. 

We take safeguarding seriously

We are proud to be an APSCo Compliance+ accredited education recruitment agency. This certification is a best practice quality standard and means that we go above and beyond the usual safeguarding standards. The accreditation is designed to help safeguard and improve outcomes for children and is recognised as a certified standard by the Crown Commercial Service (who we are also a supplier of).

To maintain this accreditation, we are audited every year. In our most recent APSCo Compliance+ audit in October 2021, we achieved 99% highlighting our committment to keeping children safe.

Our compliance process 

As an APSCo Compliance+ accredited agency, we have a rigorous compliance process in place to ensure the suitability of all staff to work in schools, nurseries and residential settings.

Our registration starts with a phone call where we determine the type of work (teaching, classroom support, non-teaching) and setting (primary, secondary or SEN) sought as well as the person's suitability e.g. expereince/qualifications.

At this point, we organise a date and time for interview and ask each person to complete a registration form which asks them to provide referee details as well as proof of qualifications, address and right to work documents.

During the virtual interview, we ask a number of questions about the person’s work preferences followed by safeguarding questions to ensure they have a thorough understanding of what is expected. 

We use this time to gather references and any documentation that may be missing and apply for an enhanced DBS for anyone without. In addition, we ask all those registering to complete Level 1 Safeguarding and PREVENT training. 

Once we have obtained all the necessary information required and our safeguarding checks have been satisfied, the registration process is complete and we are then able to provide work opportunities.

Each and everyone of our team is safer recruitment trained ensuring they have the skills needed to find suitable staff to work with children in our partner schools no matter their role. 

This training gives our team the confidence to assess and recruit suitable candidates for your school and helps them to deter or prevent the appointment of unsuitable people, ultimately keeping children safe.
