Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Smile Education are working on behalf of a Birmingham Primary school to assist them in the recruitment of a Year 3 Teaching Assistant. This three-form entry primary situated in north Birmingham currently holds an opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge.

We are currently looking for a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, available from November 2021. This is a full-time long-term role expected to last until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be working with small groups of pupils to provide intervention support to those performing below ARE following on from internal standardised tests at the end of the summer term. A strong understanding of phonics is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided.

This school is situated within proximity to Aston, Perry Barr, Lozells, Hockley, Great Barr and Birmingham City Centre. Our client records above average attainment across EYFS and KS1 & KS2. Progress scores remain above the city and national averages.

 To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

-        Hold a relevant UK teaching assistant qualification- for example Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools.

-        Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum

-        Able and willing to travel the Birmingham area
