Year 2 Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted intervention sessions to support Year 2 students in areas where they need extra help.
- Provide general classroom support to the teacher, including assisting with lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Work closely with students to support their individual learning needs and boost their confidence.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to the teacher.
- Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
- Previous experience working with primary school children, ideally in a teaching assistant role.
- Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and common areas where students may need additional support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both individuals and small groups.
- A patient, caring attitude and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
- An Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with this if needed).
