Position: Year 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Bilston, West Midlands
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role Smile Education is recruiting a Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Bilston. This is a full-time, long-term position with an ASAP start, supporting children in Year 3 with their learning and development.
You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality support, helping to create a positive learning environment and supporting the individual needs of pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities
  • Assist pupils with learning tasks and encourage participation
  • Help to prepare resources and classroom materials
  • Provide support to pupils with additional needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support a safe learning environment
  • Monitor and record pupil progress as directed by the teacher
  • Support whole-class teaching and small group interventions
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a school or with children is desirable
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and enthusiastic
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are preferred but not essential
