Smile Education are currently recruiting Newly Qualified Teaching Assistants who are eager to begin their career within Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Wolverhampton. We have exciting opportunities available in both Primary and Secondary settings.
This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate and motivated individuals who are looking to gain hands-on experience supporting students with a wide range of additional needs.
The Role:
  • Supporting students within lessons on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • Assisting pupils with varying SEN needs, including complex and challenging behaviours
  • Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team
  • Encouraging student engagement, independence, and academic progress
  • Helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
We Are Looking For Candidates Who:
  • Are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
  • Have a positive attitude and a proactive approach
  • Are confident managing challenging behaviour
  • Are eager to learn, develop their skills, and build a long-term career in education
  • Demonstrate patience, resilience, and strong communication skills
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent)
  • Experience in a similar role through placement, voluntary work, or previous employment (desirable)
  • A genuine interest in working within SEN settings
