This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate and motivated individuals who are looking to gain hands-on experience supporting students with a wide range of additional needs.
The Role:
- Supporting students within lessons on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting pupils with varying SEN needs, including complex and challenging behaviours
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team
- Encouraging student engagement, independence, and academic progress
- Helping to create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Have a positive attitude and a proactive approach
- Are confident managing challenging behaviour
- Are eager to learn, develop their skills, and build a long-term career in education
- Demonstrate patience, resilience, and strong communication skills
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent)
- Experience in a similar role through placement, voluntary work, or previous employment (desirable)
- A genuine interest in working within SEN settings
- Opportunities across a range of Primary and Secondary SEN schools in Wolverhampton
- Ongoing support and guidance from experienced consultants
