Working in Reception / Early Years

Smile Education is working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Walsall to recruit a strong and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class.
This is a full-time, long-term role, starting after February half-term, ideal for a confident Early Years TA who thrives in a busy, play-based learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in a Reception / Early Years classroom
- Working 1:1 and with small groups
- Supporting phonics, early reading, writing, and number
- Assisting with personal care routines where required
- Supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Working closely with the class teacher and EYFS team
- Previous experience in Reception or Early Years (essential)
- Confident supporting phonics and early learning
- Calm, proactive, and nurturing approach
- Strong behaviour management skills appropriate for EYFS
- Able to commit to a long-term, full-time role
