About the Role
Smile Education are working in partnership with a welcoming school in Worcester to recruit a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a pupil with additional needs. This is a part-time role, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver individualised support, helping the pupil to access learning, build confidence, and develop key skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with learning activities, adapting tasks to meet individual needs.
  • Support the pupil’s social and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team.
  • Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to review meetings when required.
About You
  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school or similar setting).
  • A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEND support are desirable but not essential.
