Smile Education is working in partnership with a well-established and welcoming primary school in the Telford area to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community, make a real difference to children's learning and development, and help pupils grow in confidence, independence and achievement.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and genuinely passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support the class teacher with the smooth running of daily classroom activities.
- Deliver engaging small-group interventions and provide dedicated 1:1 support.
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Monitor pupils' progress and celebrate their achievements.
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff to ensure every child receives the support they need.
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or relevant experience working with children.
- Previous experience working within a UK primary school setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring and empathetic approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children of all abilities.
- A flexible, enthusiastic and proactive attitude towards supporting children's learning and development.
