We are currently looking to appoint a passionate and proactive
SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children from
EYFS up to Year 2, offering tailored support to help each child flourish.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: WA2, Warrington
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £85 – £100.00 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time
Role Responsibilities:- Deliver individual and small-group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, communication challenges, and emotional or behavioural needs
- Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs)
- Help pupils to access learning, gain confidence, and work towards greater independence
- Maintain a calm, supportive environment that promotes positive behaviour and engagement
- Track pupil progress and contribute to reviews and assessments
What We’re Looking For:- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in either educational or care settings
- Ideally, a qualification in education, childcare, or health and social care
- A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with young children
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A current enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply through Smile Education)
