Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including learning, communication and behavioural challenges.
- Support pupils’ academic progress, social development and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with planning and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or tailored learning activities.
- Use positive behaviour strategies, promote inclusion and encourage independent learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, therapists and parents to meet individual pupil needs.
- A passion for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils and staff.
- Ability to use creative and flexible strategies to support learning and behaviour.
- Relevant qualification(s) such as Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or SEND-specific training (desirable).
- Experience working in a school or with children is beneficial, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally valued.
