SEN Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Support – Worcester (Full-Time, September Start)
Partner School – Smile Education

Smile Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Worcester to recruit a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a child with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.

The Role:
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Location: Worcester
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, during school hours (term time only)
  • Contract Type: Long-term, with potential to become permanent
About the Child:
You will be supporting an energetic child who enjoys running and sometimes hides when overwhelmed. This role requires someone who is calm, patient, and physically active, with the ability to maintain a consistent and reassuring presence.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A patient, compassionate individual with a holistic approach to learning and behaviour
  • Experience working 1:1 with children who have additional or complex needs
  • The ability to build trust and maintain boundaries in a nurturing way
  • A calm, proactive attitude and excellent communication skills
Requirements:
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Relevant experience in an SEN role, in a school or similar setting
