Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who loves helping children learn, grow and achieve their potential?
Smile Education is looking for passionate and experienced Teaching Assistants to support friendly, welcoming primary schools across Grimsby and the surrounding areas.

Opportunities available:

• General classroom support – working alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons.
• EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 – supporting learning across different primary year groups.
• Small-group interventions – helping children develop literacy, numeracy and confidence.
• 1:1 pupil support – providing additional help to children who need it.
• Flexible day-to-day supply – work around your existing commitments.
• Long-term opportunities – build relationships with pupils and school teams.

What we're looking for:

• Ideally, a UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school.
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom routines.
• Confidence supporting children's learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
• Experience working with children of different abilities and learning needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work alongside teachers.
• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's education.

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school or relevant educational setting.
• Ideally, a UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced child workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
• Satisfactory professional references and completion of safeguarding checks.
