  • Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
The school is particularly interested in candidates who have previous experience supporting children with SEN within a primary school or similar setting.
Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, behavioural needs, communication difficulties or other additional needs would be advantageous. Candidates who have worked in a school, nursery, care, youth work or other child-focused setting are also encouraged to apply.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will:
  • Have experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Be patient, caring and understanding.
  • Be confident supporting children on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to build strong and positive relationships with pupils.
  • Be reliable, proactive and adaptable.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • Have a positive attitude and a commitment to helping every child reach their potential.
Relevant transferable experience will also be considered.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Kidderminster and gain valuable experience working with pupils with a range of SEN needs. If you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or have relevant experience supporting children with additional needs, we would love to hear from you.
