SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1

Smile Education are working closely with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Worcester, who are seeking a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with high-level additional needs.

This is a full-time role, available for an immediate start, and requires a resilient and compassionate individual with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine dedication to supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

The Role:
  • Provide consistent 1:1 support for a child with complex behavioural and learning needs
  • Help implement tailored strategies to support emotional regulation and access to learning
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external support services
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment that supports progress
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children with significant SEN and behavioural challenges
  • A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils and colleagues
  • Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, Team Teach) are advantageous but not essential
