This role will be on a long-term basis for the academic year September 2025 – July 2026, the school are ideally seeking a full-time member of staff to join them but are open to discussing flexible options.
About the Role:
- SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full time (Term time only)
- Monday – Friday
- Working hours 8.30am – 3.30pm
- Greeting pupils from the drop off point
- Observing and recording pupil progression against individual learning plans
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis (specific needs including MLD, PMLD, ASD)
- Working independently and as part of a wider team to provide an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment
- Must hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
- Ability to work on a short notice (24hrs)
- Confident in working independently in a 1:1 role
- Experience of supporting SEN children and young people within the last 2 years
- Be able to provide references covering the last 2 years, including interactions with children and young people
- Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate or willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
