Smile Education are delighted to work in partnership with a well established Multi Academy Trust in preparation for the next academic year. We are currently seeking a full time SEN Learning Support Assistant to join the MAT’s Wolverhampton based SEN Secondary school from September 2025.

This role will be on a long-term basis for the academic year September 2025 – July 2026, the school are ideally seeking a full-time member of staff to join them but are open to discussing flexible options.
About the Role:
  • SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full time (Term time only)
  • Monday – Friday 
  • Working hours 8.30am – 3.30pm
  • Greeting pupils from the drop off point
  • Observing and recording pupil progression against individual learning plans
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis (specific needs including MLD, PMLD, ASD)
  • Working independently and as part of a wider team to provide an inclusive, supportive and engaging learning environment 
About You:
  • Must hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Ability to work on a short notice (24hrs)
  • Confident in working independently in a 1:1 role
  • Experience of supporting SEN children and young people within the last 2 years
  • Be able to provide references covering the last 2 years, including interactions with children and young people
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate or willing to apply for a new one through Smile Education
