The school follows a varied curriculum, with a focus on developing emotional resilience and preparing students for the world of work. The school is currently undergoing a period of growth, so this is an exciting time to join the team as an SEMH Teaching Assistant.
This is an extremely rewarding position as you will be providing crucial support to students, and you will have the opportunity to have a lasting impact on a child’s academic, social, and emotional development. If you are a graduate, this SEMH Teaching Assistant role is a wonderful opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience before undertaking further training as a teacher/educational psychologist.
As with any role where you are supporting children with additional needs, it can at time be challenging and ideally candidates will have previous experience supporting individuals with social, emotional, and mental health/special educational needs.
