Smile Education are currently seeking to represent a Finance Assistant for a Secondary school in Birmingham, West Midlands. The role is available to start immediately and offered as an interim (6 weeks), full-time position with the potential to become permanent. The pay rate is between £90-£140 per day dependant on experience. If you are an experienced school finance assistant or a finance assistant who has recently completed a similar role and are either local to or available to travel to Birmingham, we would like to hear from you.  

We are currently supporting a primary school in recruiting a Finance Assistant. Typically, the main duties of the role are but are not limited to, assisting in maintaining and updating information held on School Databases, those relating to finance including recording expenditure and income, payroll information, accessing and producing reports for budget holders. We are open to receiving applications by 30/10/2023 from Finance assistants with experience or Finance Assistants with knowledge of school systems. To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant Finance qualification
• Experience within a Finance role
• Substantial experience working within a school or similar setting
• Ideally have knowledge of West Midlands LA procedures
• Knowledge of school finance systems
