Are you passionate about helping children feel supported, included and confident in their learning? We are looking for caring, reliable and dedicated Pupil Support Assistants to work within primary schools across Aldridge and the surrounding areas.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a genuine difference to pupils who may need additional support to thrive in the classroom.

You will work closely with teachers and school staff to provide individualised support, encourage positive behaviour and help pupils overcome barriers to learning.

As a Pupil Support Assistant, you may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, within small groups or alongside the class teacher.
Your responsibilities may include:
  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
  • Helping pupils access lessons and participate fully in school activities
  • Supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties and other SEN needs
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive relationships
  • Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and social development
  • Promoting positive behaviour and engagement
  • Providing reassurance and encouragement during challenging situations
  • Supporting children during transitions and less structured parts of the school day
  • Adapting activities and approaches to meet individual needs
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other school professionals
  • Following individual support, learning and behaviour plans
  • Contributing to the monitoring of pupil progress
We are looking for individuals who are genuinely committed to supporting children's development and wellbeing.
You will ideally have experience working with children, young people or individuals with additional needs. Experience within a primary school, SEN setting, childcare or support environment would be advantageous.
