The Role – Primary Teaching AssistantAs a
Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils across Key Stage 2 with their learning and development.
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs, helping them stay engaged and on track academically.
- Work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
- Assist with classroom management, preparation of learning materials, and small group interventions.
- Be flexible and proactive, supporting different pupils and year groups where needed.
About YouTo be successful in this
Primary Teaching Assistant role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare or SEN setting.
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or higher) or a related degree (desirable).
- Experience supporting children with additional needs or behavioural challenges.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, proactive, and professional approach to supporting pupils’ learning.
