Smile Education is looking for passionate and experienced Teaching Assistants to support friendly, welcoming primary schools across Hull and the surrounding areas.

Opportunities available:

• General classroom support – working alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons.
• EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 – supporting learning across different primary year groups.
• Small-group interventions – helping children develop their literacy, numeracy and confidence.
• 1:1 pupil support – providing additional help to children who need it.
• Flexible day-to-day supply – work around your existing commitments.
• Long-term opportunities – build strong relationships with pupils and school teams.

What we're looking for:

• Ideally, a UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school.
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum and classroom routines.
• Confidence supporting children's learning, development and emotional wellbeing.
• Experience working with children of different abilities and learning needs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively alongside teachers.
• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach.
• A genuine passion for supporting children's education.

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a primary school or relevant educational setting.
• Ideally a UK-recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced child workforce DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
• Satisfactory professional references and completion of safeguarding and compliance checks.
