SEN opportunities in primary schools – Worcester

Smile Education is looking to register motivated and enthusiastic people in Worcester who are interested in developing their careers working with children with special educational needs in primary schools. We are particularly interested in hearing from people with backgrounds in sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care, support work, behaviour support and other roles where you have developed strong communication and relationship-building skills.

We are recruiting for opportunities including:

• SEN teaching assistants
• 1:1 teaching assistants
• SEN sports coaches
• Behaviour mentors
• Learning support assistants
• Pastoral support workers
• Care and support assistants

• Activity and engagement support workers
• Classroom support assistants

You could be supporting children with a range of additional needs, including:

• Autism/ASC
• ADHD
• SEMH
• Behavioural needs
• Emotional regulation difficulties
• Communication and interaction needs
• Complex learning needs
• Additional educational needs

Your previous experience could include:

• Sports or football coaching
• Youth work
• Care or support work
• Residential care
• Behaviour support
• Mentoring
• Community work
• Personal training or fitness
• Working with vulnerable children or young people
• Children and young people's services
• Other roles involving supporting, encouraging and developing children
