Primary Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Primary TA - SEN/SEMH Needs 

Smile Education are working with two primary schools, both in the LE4 near Thurmaston, that require the support of two SEN Primary Teaching Assistants, to work full time in the new academic year.  These positions will both start in the second or third week back after the summer holiday in September.
  • SEN Teaching Assistants
  • Primary schools in LE4
  • £85-100 per day
  • One-to-one and small group work
  • On-going work
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a degree in Psychology or Special Educational Needs would be ideal but not essential.
The schools have a small number of pupils who have either special needs - Autism, Aspergers etc - and some that have social, emotional and mental health needs.  

If you'd love to make a difference in the educational lives of these young people in Key Stages 1 and 2, have a passion for supporting those who might find certain aspects of school challenging these could be wonderful roles for you.

The schools and myself would, ideally, like to see applications from candidates who have had some similar experience be that in a school or in another area.  We are also looking for caring individuals who can remain calm under pressure and aren't afraid to get stuck in.
