Part-Time Teaching Assistant – Tamworth 
Location: Primary School, Tamworth
Position: Part-Time, Classroom & Intervention Support
Smile Education are excited to support a welcoming primary school in the Tamworth area in their search for a part-time Teaching Assistant to provide classroom and intervention support. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to children’s learning in a supportive school environment.

Your Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
  • Provide targeted intervention support for pupils requiring additional help.
  • Work with small groups or individual children to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Assist with classroom management and creating a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to pupils’ social and emotional development.
  • Support the monitoring and recording of pupil progress.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold school policies.
Essential Requirements
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (minimum)
  • Experience working in a primary school environment
  • Ability to support both whole-class teaching and small-group interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
