This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and caring individual who is passionate about supporting young children during the crucial early stages of their learning and development.
The RoleAs a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Nursery team to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can thrive through play, exploration, and discovery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting children's learning and development through play-based activities
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging learning experiences
- Promoting positive behaviour and social development
- Supporting children's welfare, wellbeing, and personal care where required
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure every child reaches their potential
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working within a Nursery, Early Years, or Primary School setting
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- The ability to engage and motivate young learners
- A positive and flexible attitude
