Learning Support Assistant – Primary School | Altrincham | Immediate Start


Are you a caring, patient, and proactive individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?


A warm and welcoming primary school in Altrincham is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support pupils from EYFS to Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a nurturing educational environment.


About the Role – Learning Support Assistant
  • Support a student with additional learning needs on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
  • Help the student engage in class activities and progress towards their educational targets
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to deliver tailored support
  • Assist across the school day, helping to manage routines and encourage independence
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a school, nursery, or SEN setting is desirable
  • A calm, compassionate, and patient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and use your initiative
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant certificate or a degree in education, psychology or related field
