Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Setting: Further Education (Ages 16–25)

Smile Education is currently recruiting a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant further education setting in Walsall from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young adults with a range of needs and help them achieve success in their educational journey.

About the Role: The successful candidate will:

Provide 1:1 support to a variety of students aged 16–25 across the curriculum
Cover staff absences throughout the setting as required
Support students during lessons and promote social interaction during break and lunch periods
Work flexibly and independently to adapt to the needs of individual learners and classroom environments

What We’re Looking For:

A minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent relevant to education)
Recent experience working in a similar role within an educational environment
A confident, flexible, and proactive individual capable of working independently
A strong understanding of how to support students with additional needs
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Smile Education

An induction day will take place in August to prepare successful candidates for the role.
