Intervention Tutor

Smile Education are a Crown Commercial Services (CCS) approved supplier; through this partnership we are currently supporting a north Birmingham primary in the recruitment of an intervention Tutor. We are currently looking for an Intervention Tutor to join this two-form primary school. Plus, you will receive a £50 joining bonus when registering with Smile Education in addition to other termly bonus structures!

We are currently seeking an Intervention Tutor, available from February 2022 or earlier. This is a full-time role due to last until the end of the academic year with a scope to extend further for the right person. The successful applicant will be working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 to support small intervention groups of manly lower ability pupils. You will also be supporting some pupils with SEND, including ADHD and ASD. Some pupils will be working towards IEP targets with others requiring booster work ahead of standardised tests including phonics screening and SATs. This role is ideal for any Early Career Teachers looking to broaden their pedagogy before committing to their induction terms, or any experienced degree qualified TA’s.

This school is located within proximity to Kings Norton, Northfield, Stirchley, Kings Heath and both Birmingham and Solihull City Centre.

What to expect from applicants?

We would like applicants to have teaching experience either within the UK or a British International School setting.

To be successful in your application, you should have experience in one or more of the following:

• Hold a relevant UK teaching qualification with QTS

• Knowledge of the UK Primary Curriculum

• Able and willing to travel to the Birmingham area

• Exceptionally dedicated to supporting pupils achieve the very best through an all-inclusive curriculum
