We are currently looking for a committed
SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team, providing essential support to pupils from
EYFS to Year 2 with a range of special educational needs.
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: WA2, Warrington
Start Date: Immediate
Pay: £83.40 – £100.00 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time
About the Role:- Deliver 1:1 and small group support tailored to children with SEN, including autism, speech and language needs, and social/emotional challenges
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Help children access learning, build independence, and grow in confidence
- Foster a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation
- Track and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
What We’re Looking For:- Experience working with children with SEN in a school or care setting
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or health and social care is desirable
- A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with young learners
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Smile Education)
