A thriving and supportive secondary school in South Manchester is looking for multiple Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their English, Maths, or Science departments. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced educators, support pupils’ academic progress, and build the classroom skills you’ll need as a future teacher.
Graduate Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in your subject specialism (English, Maths, or Science)
- Assist in lessons and deliver targeted intervention sessions
- Work closely with teaching staff to support students with varying academic needs
- Offer pastoral and academic mentoring to pupils across KS3 and KS4
- Adapt and contribute to different subject areas as required
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
We’re Looking For:
- A recent graduate with a 2:2 or above (subject specialism in English, Maths, or Science preferred)
- Some experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work – desirable)
- A strong interest in pursuing teacher training in the near future
- Excellent communication, resilience, and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, adaptable, and professional attitude
