Are you a recent Psychology graduate or a graduate in a related field looking to gain hands-on experience working in a secondary school environment?


Do you have a passion for supporting students with challenging behaviour, ADHD, SEMH, or SEN needs? Are you patient, resilient and eager to build a career in education or mental health?


If yes – this Graduate Behaviour Mentor role is the perfect opportunity to start your journey in education.


Graduate Behaviour Mentor – Role Overview:
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who require behavioural and emotional support
  • Support pupils with ADHD, SEMH, and ASC needs
  • Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing
  • Deliver targeted interventions and behaviour strategies
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and inclusion teams
  • Encourage academic and social development
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents


Ideal Candidate – Graduate Behaviour Mentor:

  • Recent Psychology or Education graduate (or related discipline)
  • Experience working with young people (e.g. mentoring, youth work, school support, volunteering)
  • Understanding of safeguarding, special educational needs, and behaviour management
  • Calm, empathetic, and proactive under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A desire to work in education, educational psychology, counselling, or youth work
