Smile Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the
Humberston area of Grimsby, who are looking to appoint a passionate and experienced
Level 3 Early Years Practitioner from
September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years professional who enjoys helping young children learn through play, exploration and meaningful experiences. You will become an important part of the Early Years team, supporting children's development while helping to create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
Located within a well-established local community, the school offers a pleasant setting for children to learn and develop. The area provides easy access to
Grimsby, Cleethorpes, New Waltham, Waltham and surrounding areas, making this an excellent opportunity for Early Years professionals looking for work locally.
Your RoleAs a
Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will work closely with the Early Years teaching team to support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:- Supporting the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate Early Years activities.
- Encouraging children to learn through play, exploration and practical experiences.
- Supporting children's communication, language and social development.
- Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive relationships.
- Assisting with observations and recording children's progress.
- Providing appropriate support for individual learning and development needs.
- Creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
- Working closely with teachers and other members of the Early Years team.
- Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging children to follow routines.
- Building strong and trusting relationships with children and families.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, caring and passionate about helping young children thrive.
You should have:- A recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting.
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- A nurturing and child-centred approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Confidence supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing.
- A positive and flexible attitude.
Essential Requirements- Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- A minimum of 6 months' UK experience working with children.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
- Ability to provide a full two years of employment and/or education references.
- At least one reference relating to working with children.
- Right to work in the UK.
