Science Teacher - Required for September 2020

Smile Education are working in partnership with a large Secondary School in North Birmingham who are looking to find a KS3 and KS4 Science Teacher to join their team in September on a permanent or temporary to permanent basis.

The role
  • Plan and teach in an integrated approach across KS3 and KS4 Science
  • Support the learning and development of students across all years
  • To ensure up-to-date assessment information is held on individual students
  • To support the development and improvement in the links between home and school
  • Communicate with parents when required and appropriate to discuss the progress of individual students.
  • Attend all relevant and appropriate meetings
The ideal candidate must have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status or substantial experience within a similar role
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Experience in a secondary school setting
  • Assessment, recording and reporting of students’ achievements and assessment for learning.
  • Evidence of successful teaching across a wide ability range
  • Ability to use assessment to raise standards of achievement
My client is looking for someone who is a confident and passionate Science Teacher to join their supportive team. This role is permanent and to start in September. The salary will be based against the main pay scale (24,373 – 40,490). Video interviews are being held as soon as possible.
