The Role:
- Supporting students with Special Educational Needs within Primary and Secondary schools
- Working on a 1:1 and small group basis within the classroom
- Assisting pupils with a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges
- Supporting students’ academic progress, emotional regulation, and independence
- Working closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals to create a positive learning environment
- Have experience working in children’s residential care or similar settings
- Are confident managing challenging behaviour
- Are passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
- Want to transition into education while maintaining a healthy work-life balance
- Are looking for more structured, sociable working hours (typically school hours, term time)
- Are eager to develop their knowledge and build a long-term career in education
- Experience working with children or young people (residential care experience highly desirable)
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or equivalent – desirable)
- Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
- A proactive and positive attitude
