Smile Education is seeking a committed and confident Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded Secondary SEN school in Wolverhampton from January, working on a full-time basis.
About the Role We are looking for an individual who can:
  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs across Key Stage 3 through to 6th Form.
  • Confidently manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour, using positive and restorative behaviour approaches.
  • Fully immerse themselves in school life, helping to create a supportive and engaging environment for all learners.
  • Bring a positive, resilient attitude to enhance students’ academic progress, confidence, and overall school experience.

  • Proven UK school experience, with a reference specifically commenting on your interaction with children or young people.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one through Smile Education.
  • Confidence, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people with diverse needs.
