Smile Education are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive Primary SEN division based in Wolverhampton. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of SEND needs.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with a mixture of SEND needs in both group and one-to-one settings
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored learning activities
  • Lead small group interventions under the direction of teaching staff
  • Provide one-to-one support where required
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Recent and relevant experience working with children with SEND
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or SEN support
  • A proactive, patient, and flexible approach
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new one
