Smile Education are proud to be recruiting for a number of Teaching Assistants across the Wolverhampton area to support two schools within The Endeavour Multi Academy Trust.
These schools provide specialist support for students with a wide range of SEND needs, including severe, complex and profound needs, autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a rewarding and supportive environment.

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting students with a range of complex SEND needs
  • Assisting in delivering lessons and activities in line with the class teacher
  • Working independently and as part of a team
  • Supporting with personal care where required
  • Promoting positive behaviour and managing challenging situations
  • Attending training, meetings and liaising with external professionals
  • Fully immersing yourself in school life and contributing to a positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A passion and determination to support students with SEND
  • Recent experience working with children with similar needs
  • Confidence working independently and proactively
  • A positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships
  • A minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field
  • Paediatric First Aid (desirable but not essential)
Requirements:
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Smile Education
  • Ability to attend training and meetings as required
