As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both in and out of the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with a range of complex SEND needs
- Assisting in delivering lessons and activities in line with the class teacher
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Supporting with personal care where required
- Promoting positive behaviour and managing challenging situations
- Attending training, meetings and liaising with external professionals
- Fully immersing yourself in school life and contributing to a positive learning environment
- A passion and determination to support students with SEND
- Recent experience working with children with similar needs
- Confidence working independently and proactively
- A positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships
- A minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field
- Paediatric First Aid (desirable but not essential)
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Smile Education
- Ability to attend training and meetings as required
