Due to ongoing demand, the school is seeking multiple Teaching Assistants to provide cover for staff absence, training courses, and additional support requirements. Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs within the classroom and around the school
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, personalised, and inclusive learning activities
- Supporting pupils' academic, social, emotional, and personal development
- Building positive relationships that promote confidence and independence
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils to develop life skills and achieve individual targets
Essential Requirements
- A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- The ability to provide a minimum of two years' employment and/or education references
- At least one reference must specifically comment on your experience and interaction with children or young people
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
