The OpportunityDue to ongoing demand, the trust is seeking multiple Teaching Assistants to provide daily cover for staff absence, training courses, and additional support requirements. Responsibilities
  • Supporting students aged 11–19 with EHCPs both in and out of the classroom
  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, personalised, and inclusive learning activities
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and helping them achieve their individual goals
  • Promoting a safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with social, emotional, communication, and learning needs
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
Essential Requirements
  • A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  • The ability to provide a minimum of two years' employment and/or education references
  • At least one reference must comment on your experience and interaction when working with children or young people
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
