Smile Education are proud to be working in partnership with a prestigious independent school in Wolverhampton to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant on a temp-to-perm basis.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide 1:1 support for a student with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for long-term stability within a supportive school environment.

Role details:
  • Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
  • Contract: 12 weeks temporary leading to permanent employment
  • Location: Private Independent School
  • Start date: Immediate
Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalised 1:1 support for a student with complex needs
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
  • Work independently and effectively to meet the student’s needs
  • Support learning across KS3 and KS4
  • Work closely with teaching staff and SEN teams to ensure student progress
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within a school setting
  • Recent experience supporting students with SEN
  • Proven track record of working with KS3 and KS4 pupils
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to adapt to different situations
  • A committed, reliable, and professional approach
