We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded SEN school, supporting students with severe learning difficulties and additional learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis, helping each student reach their full potential both academically and personally.
Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students aged 11+ with severe learning needs
- Assist with classroom learning, engagement, and participation
- Support students with personal care where required
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored learning plans
- Promote independence, inclusion, and wellbeing throughout the school day
Teaching Assistant – Requirements
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred
- Previous experience working with SEN / additional learning needs highly desirable
- Calm, patient, and compassionate nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to use initiative and follow direction from the class teacher
