We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded SEN school, supporting students with severe learning difficulties and additional learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work on a 1:1 basis, helping each student reach their full potential both academically and personally.


Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students aged 11+ with severe learning needs
  • Assist with classroom learning, engagement, and participation
  • Support students with personal care where required
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored learning plans
  • Promote independence, inclusion, and wellbeing throughout the school day


Teaching Assistant – Requirements
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) preferred
  • Previous experience working with SEN / additional learning needs highly desirable
  • Calm, patient, and compassionate nature
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to use initiative and follow direction from the class teacher
