Sports SEN Mentor – Full Time Location: Various SEN & Alternative Provision Schools across Birmingham
Pay: £95 – £120 per day (Based on experience)
Contract: Full-time opportunity, Monday–Friday until end of academic year

Sports SEN Mentors to join their teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use sport as a tool to engage, motivate and inspire pupils with additional needs, helping them develop confidence, resilience and positive behaviour through structured physical activity.
The Role
• Deliver engaging sports sessions tailored to pupils with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Use physical activity as a strategy to improve focus, behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD and additional learning needs.
• Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring through sport-based interventions.
• Encourage teamwork, communication and social development.
• Promote healthy lifestyles and positive routines.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams.
• Support behaviour management using restorative approaches.
• Contribute to EHCP targets linked to physical development and wellbeing.
• Maintain safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing at all times.

Requirements
• Experience working with children or young people (minimum 6 months).
• Background in sports coaching, PE support, youth work or similar.
• Experience supporting SEN, Autism or SEMH (preferred).
• Energetic, resilient and positive role model.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Passionate about using sport to make a difference.
• Committed to full-time consistency and reliability.
• Able to provide 2 references covering the past two years (one must comment on work with children).
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one through Smile Education.
