We are currently seeking a
dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team based at one of their Tamworth provisions.
This inclusive primary school caters to a wide range of SEND needs. The curriculum is tailored to meet the individual requirements of pupils and to foster development in key areas such as:
- Self-confidence and self-esteem
- Social and emotional growth
- Responsibility and initiative
- Positive contributions to society
- Respect for others
The school is committed to a
personalised approach to learning, with pupil progress carefully tracked and supported through a collaborative, multi-professional team.
We’re Looking for Someone Who:- Has experience supporting children with a range of SEND needs, including but not limited to:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
- ADHD
- Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Sensory Processing Needs
- Holds a minimum Level 2 qualification in Childcare or Education
- Is confident working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Is flexible and able to adapt to varying cover requirements (2–5 days per week)
- Has two references covering the last two years, including one that speaks to your work with children
- Holds an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one through Smile Education
