SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Term Time)

Location: Near Hagley
Start Date: ASAP

Smile Education are recruiting on behalf of a specialist Alternative Provision near Hagley for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with severe and complex needs in a nurturing, creative and outdoor-focused environment. Every day is different – students rotate 1:1 support to help them develop communication and life skills in a truly unique setting.

The Role
  • Provide 1:1 support for children with severe and complex needs.
  • Rotate across students to promote engagement, communication, and independence.
  • Spend around 60% of the time outdoors in specialist facilities including:
    • Blacksmiths workshop
    • Woodwork studio
    • Forest school land
    • Farm with animals
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and therapists to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (desirable).
