SEN Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start

We are looking for a caring, proactive and patient SEN Teaching Assistant to join this specialist school on a full-time, long-term basis.


About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting pupils across the school day, both within the classroom and through 1:1 support. Students have a range of needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH and PMLD, and some pupils require personal care.


You will work closely with experienced teachers and a supportive staff team to help create a positive, inclusive learning environment for children from EYFS up to KS5.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with SEN throughout their school day
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support
  • Assist pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH and PMLD needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning
  • Support students with mobility difficulties and personal care needs
  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment


Requirements

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or degree-level education
  • Experience working in education or childcare
  • Previous SEN/ASC experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Calm, compassionate and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
