SEN Teaching Assistant – Stockport Immediate Start | Full-Time | Competitive Pay


Are you a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management and de-escalation techniques? Do you have experience working with students who have SEMH, ASC, or ADHD needs?


This thriving SEN secondary school in Stockport is looking for a dedicated and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team and make a real difference in students’ lives.


The Role – SEN Teaching Assistant As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
  • Support students in Key Stages 3 and 4 on a 1:1 basis
  • Work in both the classroom and the school’s behaviour hub
  • Assist students with challenging behaviour, ADHD, ASC, and other additional needs
  • Use strong de-escalation strategies to manage behaviour effectively
  • Be flexible and proactive across different classes and year groups
  • Contribute to a committed and collaborative SEN support team


Please note:
A driving licence and business insurance are essential for this role, due to the nature of the support required across different settings.


Requirements – SEN Teaching Assistant We are looking for a confident and experienced individual with:
  • Experience in an SEN, PRU, or alternative provision setting
  • Strong behavioural management and de-escalation skills
  • A TA qualification or degree (desirable but not essential)
  • A proactive and professional approach
  • A valid UK driving licence
