We are looking for a rare individual with a vareity of SEN/SEMH experience to work 1:1 with a child in Year 1. You'll be confident in utilising communication tools and have experience with personal care and be intensive interaction trained. The school is a wonderful catholic primary school with a welcoming enviornment who will support you every step of the way.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing tailored support to pupils with additional learning needs
Supporting children with
Autism (ASC),
ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and non-verbal communication needs
Delivering interventions and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
Encouraging confidence, independence and positive engagement in learning
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and wider support staff to ensure every child reaches their potential
We're Looking For:
A
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualificationPrevious experience working with children within a UK Primary School
Experience supporting a Reception class
Experience supporting pupils with SEN, particularly Autism, ADHD or non-verbal children (highly desirable)
A patient, resilient and caring approach
A genuine passion for helping children succeed
