SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary SRP

Location: Walsall
Hours: Full-Time | Long-Term
Start: After February Half-Term
Primary School SEN Hub (SRP) Via Smile Education

Smile Education is recruiting two experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work within a Primary School Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) in Walsall.

This is a long-term, full-time role, starting after February half-term, supporting pupils with complex additional needs in a structured SEN hub environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups within the SRP
  • Assisting with EHCP targets and behaviour support plans
  • Supporting learning, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCo, and support staff
Requirements:
  • Previous SEN experience essential
  • Experience in an SRP, SEN hub, or specialist setting preferred
  • Confident, calm, and resilient approach
  • Passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Ability to work full-time on a long-term basis
